Event Details

Important dates:

Friday October 30

-committee sets up table & wall space in venue

-Table & wall space is assigned (Sydney) and name cards set

Saturday October 31 & Sunday November 1

-Members bring in work and set up in their designated area

-Rosemary to help as needed with presentation

-Set door prize contribution on Door Prize table

-Remember to wear mask and social distance (not everyone at once!)

Monday November 2

-Artisan Committee reviews & fine tunes (esp. Rosemary)

-Some items may be highlighted and placed on pedestals or entry areas

-Committee sets up bags & door prizes

Saturday December 19

-Door prizes awarded

Tuesday December 22 through December 24th (or TBD)

-Door prizes picked up

Saturday December 26 through Monday December 28th

-Members pick up unsold artwork (all items must be picked up no later than 5pm on Monday December 28th)


Participant Responsibilities

-Create your own presentation-subject to tweaking by committee

-Maintain your presentation & replenish as needed

-Artists with both table & wall space are not guaranteed to have these 2 spaces together

-Bring your own drill and screw bit. Screws will be provided (Thank you John Lever for donating), Bring hammer and nails for small items

-Make your own labels per the template in the office. Two labels are required for each wall piece (one for the back of work & one for the wall/Table pieces need a price tag on bottom and front of piece.)

-Small expensive items can be displayed in retail area for added security. See Rosemary if you need this

-You may leave additional work in designated area of the foyer for the committee to hang/place in common (unassigned) areas

-Each participant is asked to donate an item of artwork in the $20 or up price range as door prizes. Additionally, the Collective will donate cash gift certificates as door prizes

Artists Collective | Spartanburg is getting ready for the holiday season by planning a Holiday Artisan Market for Nov.3 – Dec. 26.  The intention is to provide a safe space for locals to shop for unique holiday gifts over a longer-than-usual time frame – Nov. 3 – Dec. 26.  The event will take place primarily in the largest of the Collective’s three galleries, The Solomon Gallery, and will feature a wide variety of works made by 37 of the collective’s member artists.  The market will be open for shopping Tuesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 4p.m. at no cost. (closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas)

Items on display and for sale will include watercolor, oil, acrylic, and mixed media paintings, sculpture,  and photographs, as well as smaller items such as: pottery, jewelry, fused glass, hand-woven neck-ware, miniatures, holiday cards, and ornaments.  Price points will range from a few dollars to a few thousand – (many items are very affordably priced) with something for everyone.  The two other galleries, retail areas and many of the artist studios will also be open for viewing.

All guests and member artists will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
